“Writing is a process of dealing with not-knowing, a forcing of what and how. I discover the facts of the story by writing the
sentence that announces it. ” -- Donald Barthelme

Brian Cullagh’s curiosity for writing began at a young age, and continues to be an outlet to slow down his thinking and make sense of the unpredictability of an ever-changing world. He has taught middle school English in the Danbury public schools for 14 years. For the past eight summers, Brian has worked at Western Connecticut State University teaching writing and research classes to Danbury middle and high school-aged students. Brian is returning for his second summer with Study-Works. We are thrilled to have him return. Currently, he lives in Southbury with his wife and daughter, Molly.
